Searching Periodicals With HathiTrust's Bookworm Tool

I then isolated the search to nonfiction, including all periodicals, which shows shellshock climbing in usage after the year 1910, which was interesting, as it is shown to move upwards before Henry Myer’s coinage of the term in the pages of the Lancet on February 13th, 1915, and peaking around the year 1928, indicating that the term was in colloquial usage before the term’s official use in medical documents. I confirmed that this search includes both metadata and full-texts, so some of these volumes may include shellshock as a title, or in the full text of the volumes themselves.
